Proposal Pricing Analyst!

Salary: $55,000
to $60,000 per year, depending on education and years of experience.
Scope:
The Entry-Level Proposal Pricing Analyst plays a key role in
supporting pricing efforts for government-funded projects. This position
requires collaboration across multiple departments to develop compliant and
competitive pricing strategies. The analyst will gain foundational experience
in financial analysis, government contracting, and proposal development,
contributing directly to the company’s success in securing contracts.
Job
Duties:

Assist in preparing and
reviewing price proposals in response to RFPs, ensuring compliance with
government and client requirements.

Gather, analyze, and
organize financial data to support proposal pricing efforts.
·
Collaborate with
Contracts, Finance, and Operations teams to align pricing strategies with
project goals, deadlines, and budget constraints.
·
Maintain and update
pricing tools, templates, and records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
·
Monitor pricing compliance
with federal and government contracting guidelines.
·
Identify and resolve basic
pricing-related challenges with attention to detail and accuracy.
·
Analyze current and
historical pricing, vendor cost, and win/loss data to identify trends and
patterns and to inform future pricing strategies across different products, customers,
and opportunity types.
·
Perform ongoing
industry and competitive analyses on costs, price trends, and historical bid
prices for relevant proposals.
·
Participate in meetings to
build cross-departmental relationships and gain exposure to the company’s
business operations.
·
Support the proposal
process by performing various writing, editing, and pricing related tasks.
·
Other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong
analytical skills with attention to detail, particularly in financial data and
pricing models.
· Strong
aptitude for numbers, mathematical principles and financial data entry.
· Ability
to solve financial problems and balance financial data.
· Interest
in government contracting, proposal development, and pricing strategy.
· Strong
working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint (or similar
enterprise content management tools).
· Strong
written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability
to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
· A
proactive attitude with a desire for continuous learning and growth in the
role.
