About the Role

Do you have a passion for shipping, packing, and making sure items reach customers safely? Goodwill is seeking a detail-oriented E-Commerce Shipper to help grow our online sales. This role is split between packing/shipping sold items and listing donated products online when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, pack, label, and ship items daily using shipping software and equipment
• Accurately verify items against daily shipping lists before packaging
• Ensure all shipments are secure, well-packed, and ready for carriers
• List donated items on e-commerce platforms (photograph, write descriptions, research unique/collectible items)
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly posting and shipping goals
• Communicate with customers via email/phone regarding items and orders
• Maintain accuracy, compliance, and excellent attention to detail in all work

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a medium/high-volume packing & shipping role (required)
• Experience selling items online (eBay, Amazon, or similar) preferred

About the Role

Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor in our Orrville Store to help lead our retail team and support the Store and Assistant Managers in the smooth, efficient operation of the store. This hands-on role involves supervising daily activities, ensuring great customer service, supporting staff, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing the store, including handling keys and alarm codes.
• Supervise team members during shifts and ensure compliance with store policies.
• Complete cash handling duties: balance drawers, assign/register tills, and prepare deposits.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner.
• Monitor daily store operations in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager.
• Perform retail floor duties such as stocking, merchandising, tagging, and processing donations.
• Ensure the store is clean and safe: dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and other maintenance.
• Report and document incidents or accidents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in meeting store production goals and performance standards.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods (2–3 hours or more).
• Lift boxes, bags, and other donations up to 30 lbs. from floor to chest height.
• Bend, stoop, twist, squat, and reach overhead while stocking or merchandising.
• Use equipment such as pricing/tagging guns, tape dispensers, and carts as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Prior retail or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Technology: Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Availability: Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview:

As a Production Associate, you’ll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment assembling, labeling, sorting, packaging, and inspecting small products. This is a piece-rate position, meaning the faster you work, the more you can earn!

Pay & Schedule:

• Training wage during the first two weeks.

• Piece-rate pay — potential to earn up to $18.00 per hour!

• Part-time shifts:

  • Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

• Full-time shift:

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Essential Functions:

• Perform hand and arm manipulation to assemble, label, sort, inspect, and package small products.

• Maintain quality and meet production rate standards.

• Operate department machinery safely and per supervisor instructions.

• Complete manual work such as disassembly, collation, and other tasks needed to complete contract jobs.

• Stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Bend, twist, stoop, push, and pull as needed throughout the shift.

• Safely use compactors, balers, and hand pallet jacks as trained.

• Keep the work area clean and organized.

• Accurately complete personal production sheets.

• Report accidents or unsafe conditions immediately.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
