Surgery Center-Surgical Technician-(FT)

The Surgical Technician assists the surgeon during the performance of operative and invasive surgical procedures, assures that the Operating Room is adequately prepared for procedure, monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies, cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. The Surgical Technician shall also participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. He/she shall also help perform nursing care to patients under the direction of an RN. It is required that this person be a team player.
Classification: Full Time
Mon-Fri (4) 10hr shifts
Required Skills:
Excellent Communication and Organizational Skill
- Operating Room Experience preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year preferred.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school for Surgical Technicians, or a minimum of six months of recent perioperative experience, i.e. scrubbing capabilities.
