Madisonhealth is seeking a Part-Time Social Worker to provide a variety social work services as scheduled in either the Behavioral Health Unit or Medical Units (ER, Med/Surg, ICU, FMC) at Madison Memorial Hospital.  This position offers hourly pay (not billable), shift differential, and some hospital benefits.

The Behavioral Health/Medical Social Worker will collaborate with our psychiatrists, medical doctors, RN’s, and other staff to identify, evaluate, treat, and coordinate services for patients with mental health, social, and other needs.  This is a fast-paced environment, requiring teamwork, compassion, effective problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to meet the needs of our patients. 

Classification: Part Time

Required Skills:

  • 1.       Strong leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as solid oral and written communication skills
  • 2.       Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude and the flexibility and prioritization abilities to handle crisis situations and work tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • 3.       Ability to address multiple tasks that have short time frames

Minimum Work Experience:

  • At least two (2) years of Social Work experience, preferred in the medical model

Minimum Education:

  • 1.       Candidate must have a master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work by the Council on Social Work
  • 2.       Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Idaho.
