Are you passionate about empowering others through learning? Goodwill Industries is looking for a dynamic Training & Development Coordinator to lead engaging training experiences, design digital content, and support employee growth across our organization—especially our frontline and retail teams.

About the Role

As the Training & Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs. You'll design e-learning modules, manage our Learning Management System (Goodwill Academy), and support onboarding and mission-aligned training efforts. If you're a creative, organized self-starter with a passion for learning and development, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deliver interactive digital training using tools like PowerPoint, Articulate, Canva, and SCORM packages
  • Create engaging learning content: job aids, visual guides, facilitator materials, and e-learning modules
  • Support retail staff and managers through targeted onboarding and training
  • Manage and maintain content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Develop workshops that support employment readiness for community program participants
  • Track and evaluate training outcomes to drive data-based improvements
  • Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and develop solutions
  • Stay on top of training trends and apply best practices in instructional design
  • Occasionally travel to Goodwill sites and work flexible hours to meet training needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Training, HR, Education, or related field preferred
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in training and development, with a strong background in digital course creation
  • Tech-savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with LMS platforms preferred
  • Bonus: Experience in retail, nonprofit, or mission-driven settings is a plus
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to build relationships across teams
  • Other: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screening
