Emergency Department-Manager-(Exe)

This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the patient care unit by:

· Coordinating quality improvement activities and the staff development/education

· Scheduling staff hours, coordinating appropriate coverage for the department with the staffing coordinator.

· TSE (Time Sensitive Emergencies) Coordinator

· Performing other duties to facilitate nursing care for patients.

Required Skills:

1. Maintain Competency in BLS Healthcare Provider, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.

2. Maintain Competency in trauma care TNCC or ATCN or PHTLS.

3. Proficient in Current EHR and assumes a role as a EHR trainer, as well as being proficient in the current EHR and assumes a role as a trainer for nurses, HUCs, and providers.

4. Supervises Quality Assurance role for the Emergency Department.

5. Knowledgeable in JBDev time clock software, assists with edits.

6. Oversees maintenance and updating of operations category Policy & Procedures.

7. Completes Competency Checklist annually.

8. Competent in Excel to perform data collection and analysis to measure quality.

9. Manages and publishes the monthly data supporting Value Summaries and department goals.

10. Maintains Department Quality “Board”

Minimum Work Experience:

1. Three (3) years Registered Nurse experience required and ER experience strongly recommended.

Minimum Education:

1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

2. Maintains a current nursing license in the State of Idaho.
