The Director of Ambulatory Business Services directs, oversees, and coordinates activities related to business administrative, financial and admission functions of physician clinics. The incumbent directs, administers, and oversees business decisions that apply to efficient and effective clinic business operations. Works within the ambulatory care division team, as a team member, to ensure successful patient – provider - staff interaction. Schedule: Exempt Required Skills:

Required Skills:

1. Excellent medical terminology use.

2. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a team that includes clinic nursing staff, clinic supervisors, providers, admission/office, billing and coding staff.

3. Ability to develop and nurture a philosophy which complements MMH’s goals and objectives.

4. Ability to coordinate activities of various units to provide designated services with minimum delay and optimum efficiency and accuracy.

5. Successful track record in building strong provider relationships.

6. Ability to multi-task, and work under stressful situations.

7. BLS Healthcare Provider required within the first year.

8. Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication (verbal and written), customer service and organizational skills required.

9. Knowledge of all regulatory requirements (CMS/ISO etc.) Takes personal responsibility to understand, complete and maintain the professional and technical licensures/certifications required of the position and furnishes Human Resources/Education with the necessary documentation to substantiate compliance.

10. Strong financial acumen and budget development skills.

11. Proficient at all aspects of computer technology, including office applications, networking applications and financial applications.

12. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills required.

Minimum Work Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health care related field.

Minimum Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study and/or 5 years of related experience.
