Surgery Center - Manager - (Exempt)

Madisonhealth is seeking a manager of the Madisonhealth Surgery Center. This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Madisonhealth’s Outpatient Surgery Center. This position along with the Clinical Director of Ambulatory Services ensures all State and Federal Guidelines as well as AORN (Association of Perioperative Nurses) standards are in compliance creating high quality and safe patient care. This position ensures appropriate management of staff and physician resources based upon patient load and acuity to ensure appropriate care in a fiscally responsible budget.
This person is responsible for hiring, educating, coaching of Surgery Center staff as well as assessing performance of staff to ensure competency. This person will develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for the surgery center, and ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures. This position must create positive relationships and communicate effectively with all surgery center personnel including physicians, mid-level providers, nursing, and front desk support as well as many support departments.

Required Skills:
1. Medical terminology
2. Computer Experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel
3. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations of an Outpatient Surgery Center.
4. Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance of all AORN guidelines.
5. Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
6. Positive Attitude
7. Surgery and/or Leadership experience
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Five years surgical experience, and/or leadership experience.
Minimum Education:
1. Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an active Idaho State Nursing License. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or in a program to obtain a Bachelor’s degree.
