The essential job duties include:

  • Provide assistance to management to ensure compliance with state commission regulations.
  • Assist in the development of accurate and timely reports and regulatory filings to commission staff and management.
  • Monitor and review Federal and State regulatory requirements and industry issues to identify, evaluate and report to management notice of proposed rulemakings and other developments and changes which may impact the Company.
  • Participate in regulatory and business planning strategies that accomplish Company goals and objectives.
  • Analyze, understand and interpret Company financial and statistical data and present conclusions (orally and in writing) in an organized, concise and timely manner.
  • Provide assistance with testing and reviewing internal control processes and procedures.
  • Organize and maintain financial data and backup documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering or a field related to the responsibilities of the job.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to perform detailed and complex analysis.
  • Ability to take independent action, seek out opportunities to improve processes, and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and commit to continuous learning and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Though not required, preference will be given to candidates with utility industry experience.

This is a full time position with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with match, tuition assistance and health club reimbursement. Beginning salary is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. This position is eligible for an annual Performance Bonus, discretionary 401(k) contribution, generous PTO and a flexible work schedule. Relocation assistance is available.
