This position will code various encounters including ambulatory, surgery, inpatient and other patient types for hospital owned professional charges. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all professional coding activities are captured for reimbursement.

Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT coding systems.
2. Medical Terminology.
3. Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and can interpret complex chart/office notes.
4. Cerner or other knowledge of physician EMR software
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Microsoft Excel and Windows.
6. Positive Attitude and superior customer service.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. At least one-year experience in clinic/office setting performing ICD-10 and CPT coding.
2. CPC (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder certification.
Minimum Education:
1. High school education or equivalent
