Responsibilities:
·
Completion and
processing of third-party documents.
·
Filing of prescription
books or new prescriptions, and filing patient profiles.
·
Fill bins with
prescription vials.
·
Process incoming
orders to determine that items ordered were shipped and that items shipped are
the same as items invoiced to the pharmacy. Check incoming stock for
appropriate "shelf life" remaining before expiration. Place the item
on stock shelves or in refrigerator when required.
·
As often as deemed
necessary by the pharmacist-in-charge, the pharmacy technician
·
(assistant) will check
stock for the purpose of removing outdated items and placing them in the
designated area.
·
Clean pharmacy shelves
and work areas and maintain pharmacy premises in a satisfactory state of
cleanliness.
·
Adheres to Standards
of Conduct.
·
Other tasks as
requested by the pharmacist-in charge or the pharmacist on duty.
Qualifications
and Requirements:
· Pharmacy
Tech certification in good standing
· Minimum
of one (1) years’ experience in health care, hospice experience preferred.
Understands hospice philosophy, and issues of death/dying.
· Valid
drivers license
