Nursing Admin - Nurse Scheduler - (PT)

The Staffing/Scheduling Coordinator prepares schedules according to hospital guidelines and posts schedules for assigned units.

Schedule: Part-time

  • 23 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule
  • Remote

Required Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

1. Ability to timely complete nursing schedules according to policy staffing guidelines. Working closely with departmental leadership to ensure organized scheduling process to maximize the workflow and staffing coverage on all units.

2. Staffing schedulers must have excellent communication, organization, and time management skills as they deal with various levels of management each day.

3. Basic computer knowledge including staffing software programs, excel, word processing, basic spread sheets, e-mail, and basic internet information searches.

4. Ability to use office equipment such as fax machines, copiers and phones with multiple lines

5. Perform accurate record keeping functions.

6. Perform general clerical duties.

7. Excellent customer service skills.

Minimum Work Experience:

1. At least one-year secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Education:

1. High school graduate or equivalent
