Nuclear Medicine Tech-(FT)

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.
· Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
· Lives the Radiology Department’s Mission Statement through all interactions
· Follows all regulatory requirements set by the NRC
Schedule: Full time 36-40 hours week
Required Skills:
1. Healthcare provider CPR
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Ability to perform nuclear medicine studies with the hospital equipment.
2. Uses the ALARA principle of using radioactive isotopes for the acquisition of studies.
3. Understand isotopes and their correct usage.
Minimum Education:
1. ARRT or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board) registered
