A project of the non-profit Northwest Maritime, the Swan Hotel is a charming waterfront, boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Port Townsend, dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist visitors in person, over the phone, and via email with booking and checking into rooms as well as answering general inquiries
Maintain a thorough understanding and awareness of the organization’s activities and the local community
Ensure a positive experience for hotel guests and prospective guests during all phases of guest communication and stay
Communicate with Housekeeping regarding arrivals, departures, and guest needs
GENERAL OPERATIONS
While the primary focus of this position is customer service, the Innkeeper works as part of the entire NWM team, ensuring smooth operations. As a growing non-profit, we all pitch in for the heavy lifting, whether it's participating in all-hands projects and events, assisting visitors, or occasionally doing some literal heavy lifting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Responsible, detail-oriented, proactive, and can represent NWM in a friendly and enthusiastic manner
Strong customer service skills
Comfortable learning new technology
Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE
Position will require onsite work at the Swan Hotel, located at 222 Monroe St., Port Townsend
NWM main offices are located at 431 Water St., Port Townsend, WA 98368
Position is part-time, 16 hours/week, with a potential for additional hours as needed for coverage
Reports to: Visitor Experience Supervisor
WAGE RANGE & BENEFITS
$19-20.50 per hour, non-exempt
Matching contributions to a SIMPLE IRA retirement fund after 1 year of employment
Paid time off: accrues 2 weeks of vacation per year, 17 paid holidays in a calendar year, & 1 hour of sick time accrued per every 25 hours worked
