About Solaris Healthcare
Solaris Healthcare provides hospice, home health, palliative, and home-based primary care to patients and families across Texas. We own our pharmacy and durable medical equipment companies, so our clinicians arrive with what patients need when they need it most. Our work happens in living rooms, in facilities, and at bedsides, where the care we give looks different from what most people expect. We are looking for a capable video producer to help us tell the story of Solaris' uncommon care.
The Role
We are hiring a Video Producer to own our video work from concept through final delivery. You will run the camera, shape the look, cut the story, and give creative direction on set. This is a hands-on craft position with a growing work including a podcast, recruitment and culture pieces, patient and family stories, training content, external promotion, and internal communications from our executive team.
You will work under the direction of our Media Production Lead and partner with an in-house videographer who supports shoots, second camera, B-roll capture, still shots, and more. Your work will include developing that videographer, directing them across a range of production roles and building their skills toward greater independence.
What You'll Do
- Shoot single and multi-camera setups, including a recurring studio-based podcast
- Interviews, studio work, and field shoots across a range of environments
- Capture and manage production audio, with ownership of clean, professional sound
- Set up and maintain the studio space, including camera positions, backdrops, and lighting
- Edit and finish all deliverables: assembly, color, sound mix, graphics, and platform-specific export
- Direct our videographer on set and delegate supporting capture
- Own the post-production workflow, from media management and backups through archive and versioning
- Plan shoots with the Media Lead and leadership team and deliver final projects on time.
What We're Looking For
- Three or more years producing finished video professionally, with a reel showing both your camera work and your editing
- Strong command of a nonlinear editor - Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve preferred
- Solid lighting fundamentals across interview, studio, and field setups
- Working knowledge of production audio: mic selection and placement, gain staging, and mixing
- Comfort giving clear creative direction to another shooter
- The judgment to work respectfully around patients, families, and staff, and to protect privacy at all times
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to our regional offices and field locations
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check
Bonus Points
- Experience producing a podcast or recurring interview series
- Motion graphics and title design
- Studio buildout experience, including acoustic treatment and lighting setup
- Photography that can supplement video shoots
- Healthcare, nonprofit, or faith-based organizational experience
