We are currently seeking qualified applications for the position of Process Engineer. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing key processes and procedures to ensure the reliability of the natural gas distribution system, including gate and regulator stations, transmission lines and LNG and RNG plant operations.
The essential job duties include:
- Provide engineering support through the execution and development of the Integrity Management Program (IMP) for both transmission and distribution lines
- Develop, implement and maintain engineering standards, operating procedures and process designs.
- Perform engineering functions in pipeline design and construction of natural gas distribution facilities including pressure testing, metering, pressure regulator sizing, flow modeling and cost estimates.
- Manage specific capital and maintenance projects including financial planning, scheduling, equipment specification and procurement, contractor interfacing, and development of construction and project documentation.
- Provide technical assistance to support upgrades, expansions or interconnects.
- Ensure engineering standards, methods and practices are in regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and obtain stream and railroad crossing permits from the relevant agencies
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering from accredited university (Mechanical, Industrial or Civil preferred)
- Two to five years of experience in process engineering, project management, or project engineering in the natural gas industry.
- Ability to take independent action, seek out opportunities to improve processes and drive projects to completion.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Professional Engineer (PE).
- Prior experience working on pipeline construction and integrity management projects.
- Knowledge and expertise of DOT 192.
