Respiratory Therapy - Echo Sonographer - (RPT)

Assumes responsibilities specified by the Manager of Respiratory and in general is responsible for the performance of clinical examinations and other tasks as assigned. Promotes the mission and philosophy of the overall organization.
Classification: Regular Part Time
Schedule:
- 2-3 days a week
- Rotating limited weekend call ( Sat & Sun) 0700-1200
Required Skills:
1. The Echocardiographer shall possess credentials appropriate for the range of services provided.
2. The Echocardiographer shall show evidence of maintaining current knowledge by participation in CME courses which are relevant to echocardiography testing. A minimum of 30 hours is required every 3 years.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Significant, broad based experience in echocardiography testing as indicated by years of experience and types of tests performed.
2. Minimum 1 year clinical work experience with neonatal and pediatric echocardiograms.
Minimum Education:
1. Baccalaureate or Associate Degree
2. Must be registered by one of the following credentialing agencies.
a. ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
b. CCI. Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
