Environmental Services - Floor Tech (RPT)

Madisonhealth is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. The Floor Tech is responsible for performing maintenance and cleaning of patient areas, isolation, operating, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restroom, corridors, elevators and stairways according to work instructions as well as specialized cleaning of floors. This role requires adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining equipment, assisting with project cleaning tasks, supporting emergency cleanup efforts, and training new team members. As a visible member of the hospital team, the Floor Tech must demonstrate professionalism and consistently reflect MMH’s core values of Integrity, Respect, and Caring in every interaction.
Classification: Regular Part Time (24-36hrs per week)
Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week
Required Skills:
- Read and understand technical information in English (e.g. chemical labels).
- Understand Procedures of Safety Data Sheets, instruction sheets, etc.
- Must have valid Driver's License.
- Learn the When I Work application for scheduling.
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining floors.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Previous experience in maintaining hard floors and carpeted surfaces is preferred.
Minimum Education:
- High School graduate, preferred.
