Manager of Volunteer Services and Foundation (Exe)

The Manager of Volunteer Services and Foundation provides human resource services to Mandisonhealth's volunteer program and oversees its fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for recruiting volunteers, completing background checks, gathering applications, paperwork, and immunization records for volunteers and interns. They are also responsible for seeking funding and donations through all possible funding sources such as individuals, corporations, grants and foundations. In addition, this position works directly to provide support to the Madison Memorial Hospital Foundation, and coordinates between Madisonhealth and the Foundation to ensure professional services such as accounting and compliance are managed.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in writing articulate and compelling case statements, proposals, grant applications and other key development communications as required.
  2. Excellent organization, prioritization, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
  3. Current on all governmental laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the position and ensures regulatory compliance.
  4. Understanding and organization of typical new hire/volunteer onboarding processes.

Minimum Work Experience:

  1. Three to Five years of experience in working in a nonprofit setting or in the Human Resources field.
  2. Two years of progressive leadership or management preferred.

Minimum Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Health Care Administration, Marketing or related field is required.
  2. Certified Fund Raiser Executive Certification required. Candidates without this certificate may be considered with the expectation that they obtain this certificate within the first six months of employment.
